Volcano Kimchi Founder & Fermentress Aruna Lee will guide you step-by-step through the kimchi making process, sharing her insights & expertise in this fun-filled and informative session. Light snacks & beverages provided.

Minimum Party Size: We require a minimum of 7 participants to ensure an engaging and interactive experience for everyone.
Maximum Party Size: Our space comfortably accommodates up to 15 participants, allowing for a personalized and hands-on learning environment.
Workshop Availability:
Weekday Options: We recommend scheduling the weekday workshop, particularly on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. The ideal time for the workshop is between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm, but we are flexible and can adjust to your team’s needs. Please provide us with your preferred dates, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule.
What the Workshop Includes:
Kimchi Making Experience: This hands-on workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn about the kimchi-making process from start to finish. We’ll explore this traditional Korean staple's history and cultural significance, delving into the nuances that make kimchi a beloved dish worldwide. Each participant will engage in the process of preparing and seasoning their own batch of kimchi, guided by the fermentress:)
Take-Home Kimchi: At the end of the workshop, each participant will take home a jar of their handcrafted kimchi. This allows them to continue the fermentation process at home and enjoy their creation later. We’ll also provide tips on how to care for and store the kimchi as it ferments.
Fermented Drinks and Korean Bites: After the kimchi-making session, we’ll treat your team to a tasting of our latest fermented drinks paired with a selection of delicious Korean bites.
Team Bonding: The workshop encourages team collaboration through the shared, hands-on experience of making kimchi together. It's a fun and interactive way to strengthen connections and build camaraderie.

The workshop will take place at our location: 1074 Illinois St, San Francisco, CA 94107. Our space is designed to be welcoming and conducive to a great team experience, but we are also open to hosting the event at your office if that is more convenient.

All the food and drink offerings during the workshop are vegan and vegetarian, ensuring everyone can participate fully. If your team has any other dietary restrictions or preferences, please let us know beforehand, and we will tailor the experience to meet your needs.
