Volcano Kimchi Quality

The secret to good kimchi starts with using the best ingredients available. That's our philosophy at Volcano Kimchi.

While there ain’t no snow here in California, we do flow with the seasons of the crops, aligning our small batches of kimchi with the cycles of fresh and organic produce available to us here in the Bay Area, and on the local organic farmers we’ve come to know over the years.

Salts of the Earth & Sea

We brine our kimchi using just the right amount of salts. Volcano Kimchi is low in sodium and contains only the best French Grey sea salt and Himalayan pink salt, mined in the hills of Pakistan, remnants of a 600 million year old lagoon.

Absolutely No Sugar

Our kimchi sauce is made from a unique blend of organic vegetables and spices. Unlike most other brands, Volcano Kimchi is unique because we use zero added sugar as part of the fermentation process.

An Umami Tsunami

A sprinkling of shiitake mushroom powder and bit of kelp add to Volcano Kimchi’s rich, umami flavor.
